Road Runner Racing

The University of Texas At San Antonio's Formula SAE ventures began in 1995 with a few students finishing in there first competition 72nd out of 82 teams entered. By the end of the 1996 year Formula SAE was no longer the UTSA campus. Fast forward to 2002 when the first of the new UTSA Formula cars came to fruition. The first car was an all aluminum framed chassis and carbon fiber body, and was powered by a '02 Honda F4i motor, that same motor package would be implemented all the way till 2008 and by 2006 the team had started to focus on building a more nimble, faster car. In 2008 UTSA had gained a reputation for itself by building quality built aesthetically beautifully built cars, while performing very well at competition thus projecting ourselves from that initial 72nd to 28th at the 2008 competition. In 2010 UTSA's Road Runner Racing Debuted its car at Formula SAE West, while the race did not prove to be a successful run the team plans to use the experience gathered to only push themselves to become better engineers and to strive for even better results for the future.
